Each year we offer over 870 educational events around the world, supported by nearly 8,000 faculty and attended by over 82,600 participants. AO Spine is a clinical division of the AO Foundation and is the world's leading community of spine surgeons and researchers that will be directly involved.

Role in Metastra

Within the METASTRA project, AO Foundation will work closely with the consortium’s clinical partners and the AO Spine Knowledge Forum Tumor, an expert-driven global clinical study group focused on spinal column tumors, to develop an evidence-based guideline for metastatic spine tumor patient stratification of vertebral fracture risk and personalized treatment. AO will also support the team with the communication, dissemination, and knowledge transfer efforts.
